James Curran, LEED-AP, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University. He is well recognized in Tucson, AZ and has successfully achieved recognition and awards for his student designs as well as recognition for his professional work.
James has seven years of experience in the design industry. From 2001 to 2003, James served as Showroom Manager for California Design Center where he was in charge of staging vignettes for bedrooms, living areas, family rooms, and dining rooms that allowed for prospective clients to envision how furniture, fabrics, color and effective space planning could elevate their personal space and bring their home to life.
While attending college, James worked as a Design Assistant for Taylor Design Group. While at Taylor Design Group, he worked on projects which included residential remodeling, space planning (both residential and commercial), model home design, home staging for realtors and the general public, contractor management, client budgets as well as furnishing and accessories procurement.
James, in collaboration with Terri Taylor, Creative Director and Owner of Taylor Design Group, co-designed a local commercial space. This commercial space is a high-end cakery called The Cake Boutique, located in the Williams Center.
James has also worked for Goodmans Interior Structures as a commercial Interior Designer. Many of his commercial projects include design and space planning for office, healthcare, and private sector spaces. In addition to design, he also provided conceptual rendering services in the scope of his position with Goodmans.
He is very active in both the local and design commmunity and has served as Communications Director for the ASID Arizona South Chapter. James is a LEED Accredited Professional in Commercial Interiors, as well as, an Allied member of ASID, American Society of Interior Designers.
